About The Event
Join us for an open water swimming event like no other! This is the second annual Pierce Island Swim at Spofford Lake and we are excited to hit the water this coming Labor Day! On the event day we will have two swim distance options: 1.2 miles and 0.8 miles. Please note that swimmers should be comfortable swimming the 1.2 mile distance in no more than 60 minutes and the 0.8 mile distance in no more than 40 minutes and all swimmers MUST bring their own swim buoy for the event. We will have a number of canoe/kayak paddlers on the swim course to give swimmers a break if needed and we'll also have one boat on the lake in the event that a swimmer is not able to finish the course but we highly recommend that all swimmers be very comfortable with the swim distances prior to the event…
